October Babies: Uncover the Secrets Behind Their Special Traits

I can’t believe October is here already! Along with cosy sweaters, pumpkin spice, and fall festivities, it’s also a month filled with birthday celebrations. As the mother of an October baby myself, I know just how special this time of year is for welcoming little ones into the world. The crisp air, vibrant foliage, and festive atmosphere seem to add an extra layer of magic.

For all the mums out there celebrating October babies, I can truly relate to the joy, warmth, and excitement of this season.

Let’s see some fascinating traits that make October babies so unique!

1. Balanced & Fair-Minded (Libra Influence)

Babies born between October 1st and 22nd fall under the sign of Libra. Libras are known for their love of balance, fairness, and justice. These children are natural peacekeepers and often work hard to maintain harmony in their surroundings. Whether it’s negotiating with siblings or mediating among friends, Libra-born October babies have an innate ability to see both sides of a situation and bring people together.

2. Passionate & Determined (Scorpio Influence)

For those born between October 23rd and the 31st, Scorpio is their guiding zodiac sign. Scorpios are known for their passion, determination, and intensity. October Scorpios tend to be deeply intuitive and emotionally strong, which helps them tackle challenges head-on. From a young age, they display a fierce sense of loyalty to those they love and an unstoppable drive to achieve their goals, making them powerful and inspirational individuals.

3. Higher Likelihood of Athletic Success

Did you know October-born babies may have a higher chance of excelling in sports? Research suggests that babies born in the fall months, including October, have a higher rate of athletic achievement. The theory is that the seasonal timing provides them with physical advantages, like early exposure to optimal development conditions. As these babies grow, their coordination and physical abilities might stand out, giving them an edge in athletics.

4. Birthstone of October Babies: Opal and Tourmaline

October babies are lucky enough to have not one but two stunning birthstones—opal and tourmaline. Opals are renowned for their mesmerizing play of colour, often displaying a vibrant mix of hues in a single stone. In ancient times, opals were cherished as symbols of hope, purity, and truth. They were also thought to bring good fortune and protection against negative energy, making them a truly magical gemstone.

Tourmaline, on the other hand, is celebrated for its incredible range of colours, from soft pinks and reds to vivid greens, blues, and even deep black. This diversity makes tourmaline a versatile and unique gemstone. In crystal healing, it’s believed that tourmaline provides protection, balances energy, and promotes overall well-being. Different colours are associated with different benefits—some bring grounding and emotional stability, while others are thought to encourage positivity and self-confidence. With both of these gemstones, October babies are surrounded by beauty, meaning, and protection.

5. Creative Thinkers

October babies tend to be highly creative, and this trait often manifests early in life. Whether through art, writing, music, or imaginative play, children born in this month often express themselves in unique and innovative ways. This creativity can be linked to both their zodiac signs and the inspiring, colourful environment of autumn. Parents might find themselves marvelling at the artistic or inventive projects their little October-borns dream up.

6. Cooler Weather Babies Tend to Be Healthier

Born during a time when cooler weather starts to roll in, October babies might have a slight health advantage. Studies suggest that children born in the autumn months tend to have stronger immune systems, possibly due to lower exposure to seasonal illnesses during their early days. This could give October babies a head start when it comes to building up natural defenses, making them less likely to get sick as frequently as babies born in other months.

7. Academic Achievers

Much like September-born children, October babies are often among the oldest in their school classes, depending on the school cut-off dates in their region. This age advantage can give them a head start in learning and cognitive development. This additional maturity often translates into higher academic achievement as they progress through school, making October babies more likely to excel in the classroom.

8. Lovers of Nature

October babies are born at a time when nature is at its most vibrant, with leaves turning shades of orange, red, and yellow. This connection to the beauty of the natural world is often reflected in their personalities. Many October-born children grow up with a deep appreciation for nature, the outdoors, and seasonal traditions. Whether it’s hiking through autumn forests or jumping in leaf piles, October babies seem to have an innate love for the earth and its changing seasons.

Celebrate Your October Baby

October babies are truly fascinating, with a unique blend of traits that make them stand out. From their creative thinking to their strong work ethic, they bring a lot of joy and inspiration to the world.

As you prepare to welcome or celebrate your October baby, consider capturing their essence through newborn photography. Every stage of their journey, from those first sleepy days to their emerging personalities, deserves to be celebrated and cherished forever.

I haven’t been posting much lately, because behind the scenes, I’ve been pouring all my energy into something that truly matters to me.

The book is finally done. Uploaded. Ready.

But this phase? It’s a different kind of work.

Now, I’m reaching out. Emailing, writing, pitching, trying to place this book into hands and platforms that could really help share it.

Because I believe in it.

Not for me, but for the voices within it.

Milk Tales isn’t just a book.

It’s a mirror for mothers who felt unseen.

A space for stories that deserve to be heard.

So no, I’m not “doing it all.” (Also becasue I have my business to run)

But I’m doing what matters, with heart.

🤍
P.S. If you know someone who might want to feature, share, or support this project, I’d love to connect.
    After three rounds of printing...

three envelopes opened with hope...

and three quiet disappointments!

I almost didn’t film this one.

But I did.

Because this time, it felt different.

The small tweaks, the colours, the paper,
they’re still not exactly how I envisioned them.

The photo quality isn’t perfect.

But the message they carry? That part is.

And that’s what matters most.

It took four proofs.

Four rounds of edits, questions, and “maybe this isn’t ready.”

Still seen through a critical lens…

but this time, I finally let myself feel it: Pride.

Milk Tales is a book made with love, with stories that deserve to be seen.

And releasing it during World Breastfeeding Week couldn’t feel more right.

✨ Available from the 1st of August.

I can’t wait to share it with you.

One thing’s for sure: this book is one of the things I’m most proud of.

But the process?

Cry. Laugh. Repeat.

I’ve reviewed it so many times I’ve lost count.

And sometimes… I genuinely don’t know what I meant in a line I once thought was brilliant.

Creating Milk Tales wasn’t just about photography or stories, it was about pouring my whole heart (and probably a few brain cells) into something that matters.

Because this book means something. To me. And, I hope, to the mums who read it.

Coming soon.

Drop a 🤍 if you’re excited too, I can’t wait to share more with you.

Not all breastfeeding stories start with ease.

And some carry more than we can see.

This wasn’t just a photoshoot, it was a moment to honour a deeper journey.

One that mixed pain and joy. Loss and healing.

Feeding her baby… and feeding her soul.

The plasters were symbolic. So was the baby’s breath.

But the emotion? That was all her.

And honestly, it stayed with me.

If this speaks to you, know you’re not alone.

We carry so much. And sometimes, we need someone to see it.

My book will hold this story and many others like it.
If it speaks to your heart, save it. Or share it with someone who needs to feel seen. 🤍

Natalie and Sara aren’t just sisters-in-law, they’ve walked side by side through the early days of motherhood, holding space for each other’s struggles and joys.

This session was a reminder that we don’t have to do it alone. In motherhood, as in business. That when stories are shared, healing begins.

That sometimes, the most powerful thing we can offer… is simply to be there.

And that’s the heart of my book: sharing stories, truths and experiences that make us feel less alone.

If you’ve ever felt supported by another mum, tag them below. Let them know they mattered.

And if you’re curious to read more stories like this one… keep your eyes peeled for news about the book release coming very soon!
