September Baby Fun Facts

Are you expecting a baby this September?

September is the month with the highest birth rate (I wonder if that could be related to the fact it’s around nine months after the festive season!) so it’s my busiest time of the year! You can see all the cute babies’ photos in my gallery.

I thought it was a great time to pull together some September baby fun facts.

Feel free to share them with any mums who are due this September.

September Birthstone

The birthstone for September is the sapphire, which symbolises purity and wisdom.  Sapphires are also thought to ease pain and reduce stress – perhaps you should take one into the delivery room with you!

September Star Sign

Your baby will either be a Virgo (August 24 – September) or a Libra (September 23 – October 23). My daughter is Libra and I see in her some of the typical traits of this sign like being clever and diplomatic.

September Birthflower

The birth flowers for September are the Aster and the Morning Glory.  Asters are symbols of love and Morning Glories are symbols of affection. Such a beautiful meaning.

September Baby Fun Facts

Studies suggest that September babies excel at school – could this be related to the fact they’re the oldest in their school year.

September babies also excel in sports – again this could be related to the fact they’re the oldest, and therefore the strongest, in their school year.

September babies are statistically more likely to live to be 100 than babies born in other months!

Celebrities with September birthdays include Beyonce, Will Smith, Keanu Reeves and Prince Harry.

The transformation happens before I even press the shutter.

Every woman who books a maternity shoot arrives with doubts:
‘I’m not glowing’
‘I’m camera shy’
‘I don’t know what to do’

But here’s what I see:
A woman becoming.
A story worth capturing.
Strength in its purest form.

Your maternity shoot isn’t about looking perfect.
It’s about feeling seen.
It’s about recognising the woman you already are and the mother you’re becoming.

Ready to see yourself through my lens?
Let’s talk.
The studio was quiet.

But not in a lonely way.

In a way that says:
“You’re back. Let’s begin again.”

After a summer full of family, travel, sunshine… and not a lot of quiet 😅 it always takes me a minute to come back to myself.

So I start small.

A tidy studio. A candle I love. A deep breath.

It’s not about rushing into “getting things done.”

It’s about reconnecting to what matters.

To the stories I want to tell.

To the women I want to celebrate through my work.

If you’re struggling to find your mojo… I see you.

Let’s both take it slow. And make space for what lights us up.

Here’s to slow starts and soulful returns. Feeling the same? Tell me how you’re easing in.
It’s been 4 days since Milk Tales was released… and I’m honestly so happy.

This book has always been about more than just pages, it’s about stories that matter. And seeing it out there, finally, is a dream came true.

Have you read it yet? Did a particular story stay with you?

Or is Milk Tales a book you’d be interested in?

Let me know in the comments, I’d love to hear. 🤍

I jumped on a spontaneous live today, because sometimes, why not?

And I had the best reason for it… to talk about Milk Tales. 🙌🏻

This book means the world to me, and sharing it live (even with wobbly nerves and unbrushed hair!) felt right.

So grateful for everyone who tuned in and cheered me on, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

If you are interested in the book, the link is in my bio or DM me and I'll send it to you.
