Embracing Mindfulness and Photography: Lessons from My Morning Walk

Mindfulness and photography: lessons from my morning walk

This morning, I decided to break away from my usual walking routine and take a mindful walk. I live near the Richmond Lock so I went along the beautiful and peaceful path along the river. Armed with just my phone (not my trusty professional camera), I embraced the opportunity to be fully present and appreciate...

I agree with you about mindfulness isn’t just about meditation or deep breathing exercises. Very informative post!  ReplyCancel

The Heart Behind My Lens: Unveiling the Why Behind Portrait Photography

portrait photography

Recently, I’ve been diving deep into the question of why I do what I do. It’s not the first time I’ve pondered this, but with each passing year and each new experience, my “why” seems to evolve. So, what exactly do I do? Well, I’m a portrait photographer based in London, specializing in motherhood photography....

Embracing the New Year: Reflections, Resolutions, and Gentle Growth

New Year’s Resolutions – they’ve got a bit of a mixed reputation, haven’t they? You’ve probably heard people dismiss them, claiming they never work. The other day I asked my 12-year-old daughter what New Year’s resolutions she has and she told me none because they don’t work! So not sure where this belief comes from...

I don’t really have any resolutions, but I do want to get back to eating keto again, and getting more active with stepping/walking again so I can lose the weight I need to. Working on my 2 smaller blogs as well, although now I have the target to get to Mediavine on my main blog which I just missed out on this month by 300 sessions, so I need to sort out my SEO. And stopping nagging my son about his homework and projects because he gets really annoyed with me doing it, but I think he needs the kick otherwise he just won’t get the grades he is capable of.ReplyCancel

I like to think more about goals than resolutions really, and it looks like you have so many! I believe if we take daily small steps towards something we can achieve it. Good luck!ReplyCancel

I wasn’t paying attention more for the self-care but I regretted it because now is all I needed. Working on making it a habit to give myself time for self care.ReplyCancel

The Start of my journey to Motherhood Photography

      Carnival of Venice with children

Right now in Venice it’s Carnival! A very festive time of the year when you can dress up as you want and go around your town or city with your little friends throwing colourful confetti all over. I know ( apart from the confetti probably) you can have a carnival every day here in the...

        Babysitter? Yes please!!

Okay, let me arrange my thoughts and try to get this post done. And believe me, it’s not the easiest thing to do with my daughter in the background singing, making annoying noises, asking me things, talking to herself and talking loudly to her toys! Actually right now the floor of my living room is...
